The Qur’an is the most prized possession for every believer and is the source for our guidance and way of life. It is the message from God to man and therefore of utmost importance to us. Many of the Companions would say that if a person wants to know about his relationship with Allah then he should look at his relationship with the Qur’aan. To properly grasp its message, one needs first of all to understand its contents exactly as well as the surrounding aspects of it. This course will focus of the relevant surrounding aspects of Qur’aan including how it was compiled, the reasons for revelation, abrogation and the different styles of recitation.
